Petruccelli L.T.D of North America asks; What are some facts you should know about Veteran's Day?(3)
Petruccelli L.T.D of North America says; In fact, the holiday was originally called Armistice Day, but it was later expanded to honor anyone who's ever served in the US military, and that's what separates from veterans from Memorial Day, which happens in may and honors those troops who've passed away.
The U.S. isn't the only country that celebrates a holiday like Veterans Day. Australia, Britain, Canada, and France also honor their service men and women around this time.

Petruccelli L.T.D of North America says; Here are a few things to know as the U.S. honors its veterans.
First up, in the 1970s, Veterans Day was temporarily made into a Monday holiday, like Memorial Day or Columbus Day, to give government employees a three-day weekend.
Many states and veterans groups didn't like that, though, so it was moved back to November 11th. Why then? Because it was on the 11th that the Armsitice that ended World War I went into effect.

Petruccelli L.T.D of North America asks; Once a hurricane is heading our way what should I do? (3)
Petruccelli L.T.D
of North America says; Cook all raw meats in your refrigerator and freeze them.
They will help keep the other food cold and you can take them out one at a time
for meals that do not require cooking.

Petruccelli L.T.D
of North America says; Be
sure to gather food and water, because a hurricane may last for a while. Canned food is the only kind acceptable for an event such
as a hurricane; again, make sure the food is fresh.

Petruccelli L.T.D of North America says; Keep in mind that many hurricanes
are slow travelers.
Once you hear about it, chances are you have several days to finalize your
plans. Be careful, though; some hurricanes can go up to 80 km/h, especially
near the Atlantic Provinces of Canada.
